Performer Bios and Production Staff
Satya Chávez* (Artist, Composer, Performer) is an Indigenous Mexican-American, queer, Chicago based multidisciplinary artist. Their compositional work includes; Refuge, (Curious Theatre, Theo, Unicorn Theatre, Theatre Lab FAU), which has received an Edgerton Foundation New American Play Award, a Venturous Theater Fund Grant, a MAP Fund Grant, and an NNPN rolling world premiere, co-created with Andrew Rosendorf; an original score for the Drama League Nominated, Where Did We Sit on the Bus?, by Brian Quijada(Actors Theatre of Louisville, Cleveland Playhouse, and Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center); and musical compositions for Late, A Cowboy Song (Wirtz Center); Hamlet and Ophelia (The Artistic Home); Empanada (The Public SA); and Life on Paper (Jackalope Theatre Company); Taming of the Shrew, Twelfth Night (Colorado Shakespeare Festival)

Brian Quijada* (Artist, Composer, Performer) is an Emmy-nominated playwright, actor, composer, and Artistic Director of The Wild Wind Performance Lab for New Play Development. Quijada has spent most of his career acting in Off-Broadway and Regional Theaters including The Public Theater, Roundabout Theatre Company, Playwright’s Realm, Ensemble Studio Theatre, Victory Gardens, and Actors Theatre of Louisville. His live-looped hip hop solo show Where Did We Sit on the Bus? has been produced at Victory Gardens, Teatro Vista (Jeff Award), Ensemble Studio Theatre (Drama Desk Nomination), Geva Theatre, Actors Theatre of Louisville (Drama League Nomination), Boise Contemporary, 1st Stage, Milwaukee Chambers Theater, Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center at Colorado College and City Theatre Pittsburgh. His other plays include Kid Prince and Pablo and Somewhere Over the Border.
Nygel D. Robinson* (Artist, Composer, Performer) is an artist based in Chicago, IL. Select musical theatre credits include Bro. Davis/ musical director in The Amen Corner (Shakespeare Theatre Company), Jimmy Powers in Lady Day (North Carolina Theatre), and Actor/Musician in The All Night Strut (Milwaukee Rep). Nygel Is the co-creator of MEXODUS, a new lived looped musical, alongside Brian Quijada. Nygel is also a recording artist and music producer.
