10 Students. Guest Appearances. 60 Minute Virtual Musical Performance.
The show follows the evolution and adventures of a group of friends as they journey through time — from the present to the past and back again. They share their stories about friendship, hoarding, hiding, laughing, living, dying and middle school in an attempt to step directly into that elusive “present moment.”
“A blend of good humor and good feeling with an audience-embracing brio that never flags.” –Charles Isherwood, The New York Times
“A funny, empathetic, entertaining show. Sweet, peppy and tuneful! If it takes a tuneful musical to remind people to seize the moment and enjoy life more, Now. Here. This. is perfect for the job.” –Jennifer Farrar, Associated Press

Youth Rep Ensemble Cast

To me, Youth Rep is an incredible community to work with in order to have fun and make something amazing.
PJ Seuffert
Village High School, Sophomore
For me, Youth Rep is a way to connect with others through a way we all enjoy. Dr. Seuss quoted it best when he said, “We are all a little weird, and life’s a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in a mutual weirdness and call it love”. It summarizes the relationships that I’ve made through this wonderful show and I hope to bring a part of our brotherly love to the viewers who watch our performance of: Now. Here. This.
Ilana Sherwood
Pikes Peak Early College, Sophomore
Youth Rep is what I look forward to every day of the week. Being in rehearsal with such an amazing group of students and awesome teachers makes me love theatre even more then I already do. This is the first training program I have ever been a part of with all students my age and teachers that are constantly telling me that I am good enough and that I am worth-it. There is constant positivity and I am learning so much every class about musical theatre history, vocal and acting techniques, how to audition, and how to put on a great show. I will forever be grateful for being a part of this great theatre community.
Ellie Levy
Air Academy High School, Sophomore
Youth Rep proves to me that family doesn’t need to be biological. That we can find and make art everywhere and with everything and we don’t need a million dollar to do so.

Why should people watch the show:
Youth Rep’s production of NHT feels incredibly timely with our current reality. The show is, at its core, about the human experience and our connection to ourselves, other people, and the world around us. Producing this show about being ever-present in a time when we are so isolated creates a beautiful dissonance between the world we take for granted and the world we aspire to create.
