SUMMARY:FAC Member Tour: Mi Gente with Dr. Karen Roybal
DESCRIPTION:Dr. Karen Roybal\, Associate Professor of Southwest Studies at Colorado College\, will lead a tour of Mi Gente: Manifestations of Community in the Southwest\, curated by Savannah Pennell (former Assistant Curator of Collections at the FAC). During this tour\, Dr. Roybal will invite participants to observe how the fluidity of borders is expressed through the artworks included in Mi Gente. She’ll also discuss how the objects in the exhibit honor a distinct sense of place that centers the Greater Southwest and make visible the region’s cultural syncretism and complex history. \nPlease RSVP \nMake a night of it!
