Capture Light: Interpret Values & Shapes with Desmond O’Hagan

In celebration of the Broadmoor Art Academy’s 100th anniversary join visiting artist Desmond O’Hagan in this workshop designed to help you reach the next level in your pastel and/or oil painting journey. Daily demonstrations will emphasize composition, developing technique through a more painterly approach, and the importance of light, values, and contrasts. Additional topics explored in the workshop include solving common painting problems, experimenting with new approaches to painting, working from photographs, studio lighting, and framing pastels and oils. This course is designed for you to work at your own pace while enjoying the experience of painting with pastels and/or oils. Some experience in preferred painting medium is highly recommended.
