Come join us May 19 for an Afro-Columbian Percussion workshop and Tropical dance party with Eddie “Quilo” Valencia at the Sculpture Garden of the Fine Arts Center. It will be an evening of contagious rhythms, while sharing the radical roots of cumbia, it’s borderless spirit, and how Afro-Indigenous resilience not only survived, but has evolved and thrived throughout Latin America. A tropical party celebrating Afro-Latin rhythms and community to follow.
