SUMMARY:FAC Member tour: Another Way is Possible
DESCRIPTION:Join Mike Martin\, Executive Director/Founder of RAWtools\, for a tour of Another Way is Possible\, an exhibit that contains items made out of broken gun parts\, thus telling the story of the transformation of guns to garden tools\, art\, jewelry\, and other lovely things. This exhibit represents work made in the RAWtools shop in Colorado Springs\, in addition by local and statewide partners\, and dozens of blacksmiths\, makers\, and communities around the United States. \nRAWtools is a local organization dedicated to helping people solve their problems without guns and violence. Their work is focused on community involvement in the process of turning guns into garden tools and art. \nRSVP for tour \nMake a night of it! Stick around after the tour for our First Friday Art Party.

SUMMARY:First Friday Art Party
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our First Friday celebration from 5–8 p.m. Enjoy the stunning ambiance offered by the FAC’s chic\, historic venue. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFREE museum admission\nArt in Deco Lounge by John Odlin\nMusic by Bryant Jones\nDrinks and snacks available for purchase\nFREE downtown shuttle\, THE ZEB\, running along Tejon Street to downtown art galleries\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Bryant Jones\nBryant Jones has been playing keyboards for more than 50 years. It’s the connective thread through a life of changes. He started in the late Sixties playing a keyboard his father bought for his 14th birthday. One year later\, on his 15th birthday\, life took an unconscionable\, unalterable turn. Coming up on his 65th birthday this month\, Bryant sat down with Humanitou. He shares how he came to live and play improvisationally\, about his musical influences and a day working alongside one of them. He talks about being rescued from a mental hospital by a cousin\, embracing the love and peace of the counterculture\, and playing his way (almost) to the top of Pikes Peak. \n
