DESCRIPTION:Five-week intensive (Ages 14-18) \nDetails on performance track\, design/technical track\, and auditions\nThe FAC’s Youth Repertory Theatre program is the only professional training program for student actors and design technicians in the Pikes Peak region. \nThe Fine Arts Center Theatre Company offers students interested in pursuing careers in performance and/or design & technical theatre a five-week intensive training program. Youth Repertory Ensemble is an inclusive\, safe and supportive space for students looking to explore and experiment with the theatrical form through a carefully designed combination of rehearsals and class work. DESCRIPTION:The Divine Within: La Virgen de Guadalupe\, Spirituality\, and Panocha Politics\nThursday\, June 30\, 5:30-6:30 p.m. (bar opens at 5 p.m.) \nCoinciding with Where the Saint Lives\, an exhibition currently on view at the Fine Arts Center\, join us for our first Libation Lecture of 2022. La Virgen de Guadalupe\, the patron saint of Mexico and goddess of the Americas\, has generated reflection on the question of our divine and corporeal being for over 500 years. Learn why and how artists and writers continually invoke the image of La Virgen de Guadalupe in their work. Who is she? Why is she revered? Why is that she is depicted everywhere from churches\, museums\, and murals\, to t-shirts\, coffee mugs\, and tattoos? \nDuring the lecture\, we’ll also be playing Lotería\, a bingo-like game that uses culturally significant images and has been played throughout Mexico for hundreds of years.
