Explore different themes each month based on students’ interests. Together\, the class will investigate a wide variety of art\, engage in lively discussion\, and navigate new ideas. In addition to dynamic discussions\, this course features live demonstrations and painting critiques. This will be a safe and fun group in which to grow as an artist! DESCRIPTION:Join us for a special outdoor First Friday at the FAC August 6\, 5-8 p.m.\nFree and open to the public\, meet us in the FAC parking lot to hear from Dr. Nancy Ríos\, CC Department of Southwest Studies about the FAC outdoor murals from internationally renowned muralist\, painter and sculptor Emanuel Martinez. Stay to celebrate the closing of the exhibition Papel Chicano Dos: Works on Paper from the Collection of Cheech Marin. Enjoy access to museum galleries\, an outdoor bar\, hands-on art activities from Bemis School of Art\, dancing and DJ’d music made possible by CC Mobile Arts. \nPlease note: This event is taking place outdoors in the FAC parking lot\, check the weather and plan accordingly. Bring a chair if you’d like\, but with the jams our guest DJ will be spinning we hope to see you all on your feet dancing in celebration of summer\, community\, and the arts.
