DESCRIPTION:In celebration of Black History Month enjoy this reading of Idris Goodwin’s play\, The Raid\, recorded in 2021\, based on the events that took place Oct 16–18\, 1859. \nJohn Brown is convinced only bloodshed will dismantle American Slavery. After fighting alongside his sons in Kansas\, Brown plots to make real his vision: To free and arm black slaves across the south. With Frederick Douglass and Harriet Tubman conflicted\, Brown heads to Harpers Ferry. A tragedy of dissenting heroes\, The Raid investigates the line between civic disobedience and civic duty.

DESCRIPTION:Don’t be bored with round\, get out of round! Alter\, cut\, carve\, and stamp your bowls. Learn to throw basic bowl forms in preparation for each type of alteration process. Staining and glazing will be taught to suit this project. Be the envy of the party with your own unique functional clay art serving pieces! \nLevel II – This class is for those who have taken at least one class in the medium. Student should be comfortable with the basics of how to use and manipulate the medium.
